Eight Lounge's Inaugural Longest Ash Contest

Event Details:

Date: Thursday, August 14, 2025

Time: 9:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Contest begins at 10:00 PM sharp)

Location: Eight Lounge, Resorts World Las Vegas

Sponsor: Drew Estate Cigars

Prizes:

1st Place: Eight Private Barrel Whiskey and a box of premium Drew Estate cigars

2nd Place: $250 comp at Eight Lounge

3rd Place: $100 comp at Eight Lounge

CONTEST RULES:

1. Eligibility:

   • Participants must be 21 years of age or older.

   • Advance registration online at eightloungelv.com/LongestAsh2024, 

   • Each contestant must be a registered participant before the contest begins.

   • Day of Registration - QR Code at Hostess Podium and 5x7 table top with QR code

   • Cigars for the contest will be provided by the event host.

   • Contest begins at 10:00 PM

2. Cigar Selection:

   • Only the cigars provided by the host may be used in the contest.

   • Participants must begin smoking at the same time, under the supervision of a judge.

3. Lighting and Smoking:

   • Cigars must be lit and smoked naturally—no relighting or tampering with the cigar after it has been lit.

   • No external devices or tools (such as ash trays or holders) are allowed to support or alter the ash.

4. Ash Length Measurement:

   • The winner will be determined by the longest single piece of ash held on the cigar before it naturally falls.

   • Judges will use a ruler or another appropriate measuring device to measure the ash length from the end of the cigar to the point where the ash naturally breaks off.

   • Contestants will raise their hand and call or a judge when ready to be measured

   • Only one measurement per contestant

5. Disqualification:

   • If a participant deliberately manipulates their ash or uses any object to prevent it from falling, they will be disqualified.

   • Any participant who drops their ash before it reaches a measurable length will be considered eliminated.

6. Time Limit:

   • If no ash falls within the first hour, the contest will end, and the longest ash measured at that time will be declared the winner.

7. Judge’s Decision:

   • All decisions made by the judges regarding ash length, disqualification, and other matters are final.

8. Prizes:

   • Prizes will be awarded to the top three contestant with the longest ash.

9. Sportsmanship:

   • This is a friendly competition. All participants are expected to show good sportsmanship and respect towards fellow contestants and judges.

By participating in the contest, all contestants agree to abide by these rules.
